  • Claimants: Asbestos-personal injury claimants alleging exposure to Garlock’s asbestos-containing gaskets and gasket material.
  • Notice Program: The bar date notice program included TV, Internet, national consumer magazines, legal publications, newspaper supplements, and newspapers advertising across the U.S. and its territories. Notice in Canada used TV and consumer publications. Kinsella Media also released a multimedia news release incorporating the TV spot.
  • Highlights: A website for asbestos claimants in simple, plain language was created to explain the bankruptcy and complicated matrix of claims that could be asserted.

  • Claimants: Owens Corning creditors, bondholders, and asbestos personal injury claimants in the United States, and asbestos personal injury and asbestos property damage claimants internationally.
  • Notice Program: Multiple print vehicles were used to provide information on voting rights and submission of ballots in the U.S. Globally, notice was placed in 27 languages in 159 newspapers within 57 countries.
