Posted: Jun 20, 2018
Shannon Wheatman, Ph.D., and Tiffaney Janowicz, Esq., will speak about claims stimulation at this week’s Women Antitrust Plaintiffs’ Attorneys (“WAPA”) Conference in Napa, California.
Wheatman, the president of Kinsella Media, and Janowicz, a senior vice president with Rust Consulting, will give a presentation titled “How to Get Your Notice Actually Noticed: Claims Stimulation 3.0.” Wheatman and Janowicz will discuss the challenges and best practices in providing adequate notice and driving claims in class action settlements.
Wheatman has more than 17 years of experience in legal notification, has been involved in over 500 class actions, and has been recognized as a notice expert in state and federal courts across the U.S. and Canada.
Janowicz leads Rust’s consumer and product liability practice areas and has substantial experience in antitrust and insurance matters. She has been with Rust since 1996 and has overseen many of the firm’s largest matters.
Members of WAPA are women who specialize and focus their legal practice on representing those businesses who have been injured by cartels or other anticompetitive activities. Members of WAPA work to recover those monies through litigation and/or settlement on behalf of their clients. They are counsel in federal cases, are appointed co-lead counsel in large multi-district litigation, and litigate nationwide.
